Hearne to Host Autism Awareness Walk
The City of Hearne and Hearne ISD Special Programs are joining forces to host an Autism Awareness Walk on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The event, which will take place at Wood Field located at 1407 Cedar Street. Walkers should meet by the Home Concession Stand. The annual walk aims to raise awareness and understanding of autism within the community.
The annual walk is always well attended by locals who wish to support young people with autism in the area. The community event is a fun way to get exercise, spend time with your neighbors and bring awareness to a great group of kids.
The line will form at 2:00 PM and participants will walk from the Field to the High School, with the event concluding at 6:00 PM. Refreshments and drinks will be provided for all participants. Keep an eye on this newspaper for updates and order forms for tee shirts or to donate to the cause.
The event organizers hope to educate the community about autism and show support for individuals with autism and their families.
