Pamper Your Pooch and Help a Great Cause

by Laura Chesner | Central Texas Star

The Animal Control Holding Center (ACHC) of Calvert is a cornerstone of the community, dedicated to managing the stray animal population and finding loving homes for recovered pets. The center's staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives necessary care and attention before being adopted. The pooches pictured above are ready to come home with someone to love. A significant portion of the funding for this vital work comes from the generosity of community members through fundraising events and donations.
The three pooches pictured are ready to be adopted and taken to their forever home. The adoption process is easy and costs nothing, although donations are accepted. Contact Regina Manthai at the City of Calvert during business hours to ask about donations of food, blankets, toys or money or to find out how to become the proud parent of one of these adorable doggies.

Pet owners can get premium pet food, toys and accessories for the cat or dog at Pawtree, an online pet emporium that puts people to work selling their products at shows and events. It's very similar to the Avon Lady, but for pets. Robin Commander, of Calvert, has set up a Pawtree online store that benefits the Calvert Animal Control Holding Center. The QR Code above will send customers directly to the correct site to ensure their donations are going to the right place. Follow this LINK as well to order from Pawtree and donate today.
Remember, every nail trim, every donation, and every shared post contributes to the well-being of Calvert's animal community. Together, we can ensure that every pet in Calvert receives the love and care they deserve.
