Protests Spread to Central Texas
April 20, 2025
The No Kings protests were scheduled to take place all around the country this last Saturday, April 19. While the Central Texas region overwhelmingly voted for Trump, some citizens are not happy with his current policies. The signs at the protest that took place in Bryan, in front of the Brazos County Courthouse and on Texas Avenue downtown spoke to a number of topics. The protesters concerns included DODGE, the rule of law, due process for residents of the USA and cuts to federal agencies including Social Security, Veterans Affairs, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Centers for Disease Control among others. The protesters ranged in age and lined Texas Avenue for two blocks.
A healthy Robertson County requires great community news.
