DeJuana Nell Pitts (Nanny) August 23, 1936 – March 17, 2025

 DeJuana Nell Pitts, known lovingly as "Nanny," passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, at the home of her granddaughter in Vidor, Texas. She was 88 years old. Born on August 23, 1936, in Bethany, Oklahoma, DeJuana was a devoted Christian whose life reflected a deep faith in God. She cherished the simple joys of life, especially spending time with her family and serving others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Rene McCormick and spouse Vera, and her beloved husband, Rev. Paul Rodney Pitts.

DeJuana is survived by her daughter, Rene’ Pitts; grandchildren Rachel Duplechain and her husband Justin, David Combs and his wife Mandi, and Rochelle Combs; great-grandchildren DJ Combs, MaKayla Farnell and her husband Joshua, Aspen Havard and her fiancé Johnny Meshell Jr., Kylee Combs, Ryder Philp, Daniel Duplechain Jr., Jade Haire and her fiancé Brendan Murfitt, Lily Thornburgh, Kami Grace Thornburgh and Ally Thornburgh, Noah and Kayli Martin; as well as great-great-grandchildren Derek and Kyla Farnell.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at All Families Mortuary, 8166 US-59, Burke, Texas. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the same location, with interment at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 5205 S. First St., Lufkin, Texas. A dinner will follow the interment at All Families Mortuary, and all are welcome to join.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in DeJuana's name to All Families Mortuary or Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
