For decades, the Meals on Wheels Brazos Valley Community Action Program has been a pillar of support for the elderly, ensuring that seniors receive the daily nutrition they need. Through its various programs Congregate Meals at Senior Centers, Home-Delivered Meals, Meals on Wheels, CBA Meals, and Private Pay Meals this initiative has touched countless lives across the Brazos Valley.
At the heart of this mission is Mrs. Rosie Ford, a lifelong resident of Franklin, Texas, whose unwavering dedication has shaped the well-being of seniors for 51 years. In 1974, she began her journey as the city manager of the Franklin Center, where she worked tirelessly to serve meals to elderly citizens. Even after the center’s closure, her passion for service never wavered. She transitioned to Bryan, where she has spent several years as an administrative assistant, ensuring that communities across Robertson, Burleson, and Leon Counties continue to receive the nourishment they deserve.
Mrs. Ford’s legacy is one of compassion, perseverance, and selfless commitment. She has dedicated her life to making sure that no senior in our community goes without a warm meal, and even after five decades, her work is far from finished. Her story is a testament to the power of service and the profound impact one person can have on an entire region.
Let us take a moment to honor and celebrate Mrs. Rosie Ford a true beacon of kindness and generosity. May her dedication inspire us all to uplift and care for the most vulnerable among us.
