Bremond Says a Fond Farewell to Mayor Ricky

The City of Bremond was in full attendance at the memorial of Mayor Ricky Swick last Friday, February 28 in the Bremond Gymnasium. The floor seating was filled to the brim and the bleachers were packed with citizens, family friends and neighbors of one of Bremond's most beloved citizens, 
Amongst the prayers, scriptures and hugs, Mayor Ricky had some fun in store for those who attended his final party. A very capable Elvis's impersonator reminded the crowds, in song, that Mayor Ricky liked to do things "His Way" by crooning Elvis' version of "My Way" to great applause. 
Many personal stories and memories were told by those whose lives the mayor touched. Some of them were good friends, others colleagues, and one was a citizen who had been touched by a kindness done to his son. Ricky Swick was well loved by many, and it was easy to listen to stories about him. The crowds had many belly laughs remembering their friend, as he would have wanted them to do. 
Mayor Swick was not only a leader of Bremond; he was a graduate of Bremond schools, a parent of Bremond students, an organizer of Bremond Cultural events and a teller of Bremond Historical tales.
