Back To School Fun and Freebies Around Central Texas

by Laura Chesner | Central Texas Star

There are several Back to School fun activities and Give Aways happening all across Central Texas in the next few weeks. With the cost of living continuing to rise due to tariffs on everything from paper and pencils to backpacks and clothes, the Central Texas Community is gearing up to make sure their kids have everything they need for the upcoming school year. Here is a list of a few from Bryan to Bremond that can help stretch the budget and provide some end of summer fun for the family.
Bryan:
BCS Together and First Baptist Church in Bryan is holding their annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 26. BCS Together’s Back to School Bash is a special event for adoptive, foster, kinship, and CPS-referred families. By providing name-brand shoes, socks, underwear, backpacks, and water bottles, we aim to reduce the financial strain on families while building confidence and setting kids up for success in the classroom. If you know of a kid who might qualify, register them for this annual event HERE. To donate to this worthy cause, click HERE.
